Overview

This dataset is a collection of cross-sectional stream survey data for 114 reaches in Victoria, Australia. The cross-section data is available in the form of HEC-RAS geometry files. These files can be used in HEC-RAS or in the River Analysis Package, a CRCCH Toolkit product for analysing physical habitat ? ecology interactions.

The reach geometries are coupled with flow profiles generated from one-dimensional hydraulic models of the in-channel portions of these reaches in the form of HECRAS flow profile summary tables. These flow profiles can also be read directly into RAP.

Uncertainty in the hydraulic model has been investigated for this dataset, and the 90th and 10th percentiles of the output error distribution are also available as flow profiles. This permits users to gauge the amount of error in their own modelling outputs attributable to error in this data.
